SoftwareHut played a central role in developing Holo4Labs software. Holo4Labs harnesses the power of Microsoft HoloLens 2 smart glasses to create a visual assistance interface, using Mixed Reality technology in laboratory environments.
With a Mixed Reality interface, lab personnel can operate programmes within the working environment using a digital display seen only by the wearer. That interface can then be placed anywhere within the physical lab environment.
The Holo4Labs program enables lab workers to operate digital instruments, and take relevant actions, by using voice commands, or select hand gestures. This interface also synchronizes with digital instruments and equipment by using QR code registration to help register samples, operate devices, and provide warnings and essential notifications.
Collaboration is made possible, with an onboard camera allowing management and support staff the possibility to view activities within the working environment, from their devices.
Furthermore, Holo4Labs software utilizes Thermo Scientific™ SampleManager LIMS™, which works as an extension to the software, providing automation in several of the program’s functionalities.
