Build me up, don’t knock me down

When it’s high time to implement widgets into your app, there are a few hints that you definitely need to know. With Flutter, building happens at lightspeed. Sometimes, ‘Sensible Dad’ needs to remind you to show restraint. This is that time. Soak up a basket of valuable insights, on building by-necessity and effective performance debugging. Believe me, we love a party, but when it comes to Flutter, it’s a powerful tool – and should be used with exceptional caution.

Discord’erly Conduct

Android In-App navigation is in for a severe boost. Discord began as a desktop solution, before making its way to the mobile sphere. The biggest claims to fame were the navigation drawers and Quick Switchers, before evolving into the Tabs product within the Android app. The merits are near-abundant, with unlockable surface areas, familiar mobile navigation paradigms, UX benefits – and a whole lot more!

Microsoft’s Container of Life?

The tech goliath is ceasing its legacy operating systems, sending many companies into the deepest levels of ‘Defcon’. Thankfully, those with old Windows CE apps can soon take advantage of CE container technology. That means, for some time yet, firms will be able to keep using their older applications within Windows 10 IoT Core Services. It’s sensational news for those who just aren’t ready to take the deep plunge into entirely new tech – just yet!

Rob PikeGolden 5 Rules of Programming

Majorly trending online at the moment! Rob Pike lays it out pure and simple. One could consider him the architect of computer programming. That’s not for any reason to do with his advice. But frankly, the boldness. His attitude is exactly what we need at The Hacker’s Tribute.  From algorithms to measurement practices – learn the critical rules of Rob Pikes 5 Rules of Programming and use them to your full advantage!

Little Bro is Watching

Sumo Logic doesn’t sound like good logic. But that’s ok – it’s just the name of the company. Its new functionalities now entail watching over AWS-run applications. The name of the game here is to boost effectiveness and solve specific technical problems. This integrated tracing system intends to swallow AWS whole in the coming months – therefore be sure to watch this space.

Knowledge is free and shared. We’re always on the lookout for new insights into the world of Web and Mobile App Development.

We’ll be in touch with more news, as it happens!

Hackers of the world dream to be him. And that’s an understatement. With methods decades ahead of cyberspace, he’s proceeded only by his own reputation. ‘The Man’ infamous for single-handedly causing the ’08 global financial meltdown, he dropped off-grid searching for purpose. He twice-dominated each of the Himalayan peaks, negotiated the rift valleys of Africa, and swam the Amazonian Basin end-to-end. It was in Siberia where we caught up to him – convincing him to work for the ‘good guys’. The veteran’s veteran of coding, now confidently within our ranks, is finally a force for good. Just don’t test him.
